Recycling plastic 101

Recycle 101 is the first step to learn to recycle your own plastic. You will learn about the different types of plastics, their properties and what and how to recycle it yourself. You will also learn what gets recycled by the municipality and what and why it doesn't.

This is the first step in learning how to recycle plastic to make plates, vases, panels and even tables and benches.

Bring your clean plastic containers and bags to recycle!

Class may be cancelled due to low enrollment in which casea a full refund will be issued.

You will experiment by shredding, melting, kneading and shaping plastic to make a keychain or jewelry.

You will experiment with a heat rod to see how to bend and shape plastic.
