We want to thank all the members who helped put together an amazing and successful 2018 Member Appreciation Brunch and all the members who braved the cold to come out and join in the fun.
We all ate an amazing Brunch with fresh fruit cut up by Tessa, a waffle station manned by Morgan, as well as French toast, biscuits and gravy, bacon and sausage from Lam. The chocolate fountain was incredible.
Afterwards, Steve gave us a presentation about our past, present and future. Within a year, we’ve gone from 16 members to 80 members. Memberships make up the bulk of our revenue. We have asked our members to sign up to help in whatever way they can, including the new Membership, Space Organizing, It Takes a Village, Merchandising, and Grants committees. All members are also asked to fill out the Makerspace 2018 Survey so that we can know what our membership is looking for.
We are hoping to move to a larger space in 2019. Steve gave details about this “MakerSpace 2.0” and you can contact him via Slack if you have a lead on a new space for us. We are looking to have more revenue generating streams including more classes and more merchandise and materials available at the space.
Thank you to Lam, Tessa, Morgan, Sara for cooking and coordinating this amazing event.
